Connect Facebook Pages to Jola
Your Page's posts and how they did, plus post to the Page.
Connect
Owners and admins: in Jola, open Connectors, pick Facebook Pages, and follow one of these.
Sign in with Facebook
- Sign in to Facebook with the account that manages your Page.
- Choose the Pages Jola can use and allow it to read posts and comments, to post, and to reply to comments and hide them.
- Back in Jola, pick which Page to bring in.
- Jola acts as the Page, never as you. You need a role on the Page: Create content to post, Moderate to reply to comments and hide them.
- One Page per connection. To run another Page, connect Facebook Pages again and pick it.
- You can take Jola's access back any time in Facebook, under Settings, Business integrations.
Use a Page access token
- Open the Graph API Explorer and pick (or create) a Meta app for your business.
- Under Permissions, add pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_posts, pages_read_user_content, pages_manage_engagement, then choose Generate Access Token and allow it.
- In the User or Page list, pick your Page so the token is a Page access token.
- Open the token in the Access Token Debugger and choose Extend Access Token, so it doesn't run out in an hour.
- Copy the Page access token and paste it here.
- Jola posts as the Page, never as you.
- A token made for one Page only works for that Page. Connect each Page you run.
What Jola brings in
You pick which of these on the connect screen.
- Page posts: The Page's own posts, with reactions, comments and shares.
- Comments: What people write on the Page's posts: who, what they said, and on which post.
What Jola can change
Only when someone asks, or through an automation an owner or admin turned on. Each change is logged.
- Post to the Page: Posts on the Facebook Page as the Page: text with an optional link, or a picture with a caption.
- Reply to a comment: Replies to a comment on one of the Page's posts, as the Page. The reply shows under the comment.
- Hide a comment: Hides a comment from the public as the Page. You can show it again in Facebook.
What it can't do
- Direct messages to the Page (needs the Page inbox, next)
- Private replies to people who commented
- Editing, scheduling or deleting posts, or deleting comments
- Showing a hidden comment again (do that in Facebook)
- Instagram and Threads (each is its own connector)
- Boosting posts or ads (see Meta Ads for how ads did)
- Posts other people made on the Page
Disconnect it in Jola
Open Connectors, pick Facebook Pages, and choose Delete. Jola takes back its sign-in where Facebook Pages allows it, and deletes the sign-in, every synced row and document, and the sync history. Seeds using it are shown first, and automations using it pause. Nothing in Facebook Pages itself is deleted.
Remove Jola from Facebook Pages
On Facebook, open Settings, then Apps and Websites or Business Integrations, and remove Jola. Facebook tells Jola, and the connection and its data are deleted.
To ask us to delete everything, see delete your data. For help, see support.
